Congratulations to the University of Electronic Science and Technology for winning the championship at the 24th National College Student Robot Contest

On August 12th, the 24th National College Student Robot Contest ROBOCON concluded successfully in Shenzhen. After many rounds of intense competition, the robot team from the University of Electronic Science and Technology won the championship with an overwhelming advantage of "44:19" and also won the Best Technology Award, once again highlighting the school's hardcore strength and innovation in the field of robotics. Chengdu Xionggu Jia Shi warmly congratulates the University of Electronic Science and Technology on winning the championship at the 24th National College Student Robot Contest.

Going back to December 16th, 2024, Chairman Xiong Jian, an outstanding alumni of the University of Electronic Science and Technology from the 1982 class, was invited to attend the donation ceremony for the "Robot Innovation Fund" at the University. The purpose of the fund is to support the research and development of intelligent robots for competition by the University's robot team, and to initiate a new model of "competition, research, and industry incubation." This year's event had the theme of "flying to shoot baskets," drawing inspiration from basketball games and combining the charm of basketball competition with intelligent robot technology, extending to two tasks for the robots. The participating teams were required to design intelligent robots that could perform tasks such as quick movements, agile dribbling, intelligent defense, accurate shooting, and high-difficulty dunking, with scores based on the robots' ball handling, shooting, and dunking in the offensive and defensive process determining the competition rankings, fully testing the robots' capabilities in innovative design, intelligent perception and decision-making, and environmental adaptation.

The robot team of students and teachers spent 11 months adhering to the team spirit of "working hard together, sharing honor and disgrace, working diligently, and seeking victory through innovation". They trained hard, cooperated, dared to innovate, and constantly challenged themselves, once again lifting up the highest honor of the national university robot competition ROBOCON.

In the future, Xionggu Company, as the undergraduate practice teaching base of the University of Electronic Science and Technology, the joint training base of the Graduate School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and the student innovation practice base of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, will continue to uphold the development concept of open cooperation and innovation-driven and strengthen the connection with the University of Electronic Science and Technology to further promote the integration of production and education. Together, they will promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading, and contribute to the high-quality development of China's manufacturing industry.
