Xionggu A-610 dual torch automatic welding machine is a kind of all position welding machine which is developed by Xionggu Electrical independently. It is designed to conduct welding of hot pass, fill & cap passes of pipe joint in the field by GMAW-S, GMAW-P and FCAW-GS welding processes. It is composed of welding head, wire feeder, central controller, portable panel, welding power source, water cooler, water cooled torch and cables.
Welding parameters of dual torch external welding machine includes wire feeding speed, travel speed, oscillation width, oscillation frequency, left/right dwell time, torch vertical adjustment, torch horizontal adjustment. Downhill welding with solid wire is applied for dual torch external welding machine. The maximum width of single U-shaped compound bevel is 12.0mm for the pipeline with 38mm wall thickness.
Linear oscillation is designed for dual torch external welding machine, therefore oscillation width is horizontal movement range of torch. U-shaped compound bevel Max. wall thickness is 38mm, Max. bevel width is 15.0mm. In consideration of application of single V shaped bevel will be applied for dual torch external welding machine in the future, Max. bevel width is designed to be 43.5mm. However, bevel width is probably larger than 50mm because there would be tolerance when facing pipe end and making assembly of pipe ends, oscillation width is set to be ±25.4mm.
Downhilll welding is designed for dual torch external welding machine. When solid wire is used, wire feeding speed is 7.6m/min-15.2m/min, travel speed is 0.25m/min-1.4m/min. According to this welding parameters, travel speed of dual torch welding machine is set to be 0.1-1.5m/min, wire feeding speed is set to be 2.5-16.0m/min.
