Sichuan-East Gas Transmission Line 2 Project Starts, Xionggu Pipeline Automatic Welding Machine Helps Construct Energy Arteries

On January 5, the Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei section (Tongliang-Qianjiang) of the Sichuan-East Gas Transmission Line 2 natural gas pipeline project, a major energy infrastructure project in my country's "14th Five-Year Plan", was officially started. The project vigorously promotes the application of flexible internal welding machines and automatic argon arc welding to increase the application scope of fully automatic welding in mountainous areas and hills.

At the same time, the station pipelines above DN600 adopt the method of argon arc welding and gas-shielded flux-cored welding wire combination automatic welding, which will greatly improve the welding speed and quality. Xionggu pipeline automatic welding machine (flexible internal welding machine, automatic argon arc external welding machine) will play an important role in this project. The Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei section (Tongliang-Qianjiang) of the Sichuan-Eastern Gas Transmission Line II natural gas pipeline project starts from the Tongliang/Hechuan boundary, crosses Chongqing and Hubei provinces (cities), and ends at the Qianjiang gas transmission and compression station, with a total length of 854.86 kilometers. This section of the pipeline is designed with a large diameter of D1219 mm, with a design pressure of up to 10 MPa. The annual gas transmission volume is expected to reach 20.2 billion cubic meters, and the daily gas transmission capacity is designed to be 71.5 million cubic meters.

The implementation of this project will effectively regulate the natural gas resources in the Sichuan Basin, especially the surplus peak-shaving gas, transform the rich natural resources in the basin into a powerful economic driving force, and inject strong impetus into the economic development of the areas along the line. After the completion of this section of the project, it will be of great significance to ensure the natural gas supply in the provinces and cities along the line, improve the atmospheric environment, optimize the energy structure, promote the domestic circulation, enhance the reliability and flexibility of the pipeline network, and improve the national natural gas pipeline network pattern.
