On February 24, 2025, at 10:00 am (UAE time), the third section of the Abu Dhabi-Western Oil East Transmission Strategic Pipeline project, undertaken by the Sinopec (Xinjiang) Engineering Oil Construction Branch Company, will hold a grand opening ceremony for ignition and welding at pile KP8+900 in the Al-Ain area of Abu Dhabi, UAE. This historic moment marks the official start of the full construction phase of the project.

As a core strategic project promoted by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) to advance the "2030 National Vision," the project is another major initiative following the Abu Dhabi crude oil pipeline, aiming to build a second large-caliber long-distance crude oil pipeline. Upon completion of the project, it will greatly improve the efficiency of oil transportation within the UAE.

The Sinopec (Xinjiang) Engineering Oil Construction Branch Company is responsible for the construction of a 191-kilometer pipeline, covering 151 kilometers of the third section and 40 kilometers of the second section. The project scope is extensive, including tasks such as 48-inch main pipeline construction, auxiliary road construction, earthwork operations, precision welding, complex crossing works, corrosion protection, non-destructive testing, trench excavation and backfilling, pipeline cleaning and pressure testing, installation of cathodic protection systems, and construction of communication facilities.

Participating in the CPECC Gulf Region Company's West-East Pipeline Construction Project is not only a vivid practice of China Oil (Xinjiang) Engineering Company actively responding to the national "Belt and Road" initiative and the China-Arab "Five Cooperation" framework, but also a milestone event for the company to bravely enter the overseas market and the Middle East region for the first time.
