Xionggu automatic welding machine accelerates the welding work of the 1st lot of Sino-Russia Eastern Pipeline (phase 3 Nantong-Luzhi). The Nantong-Luzhi section of of the Sino-Russia Eastern pipeline is a key oil and gas infrastructure project approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. After completion, it can realize the interconnection of the Sino-Russia Eastern pipeline, the 1stWest to East pipeline, the Shanghai branch of the 2ndWest to East gas pipeline, and the Jiangsu Rudong pipeline. It plays an extremely important role in optimizing energy and realizing energy conservation and emission reduction in the Yangtze River Delta and various provinces and cities along the line.

The first lot of the project is contracted by Sichuan Oil erringeering & Construction Co., Ltd. and passes through Xindian Town, Rudong County, Jiangsu Province, Shigang Town and Shizong Town, Tongzhou District, and Sanyu Town, Tongzhou Bay. The total length of the pipeline is 34.1km, the pipe diameter is 1422mm, the pressure is 10MPa, the wall thickness of the straight welded pipe is 32.1mm, the wall thickness of the hot bending is 35.2mm, and the whole pipeline is made of X80 steel pipes.

This lot is contracted by Sichuan Oil Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., who has two spreads of automatic welding machine including two sets of Xionggu automatic welding machines A-810 (internal welding machines) and 20 sets of Xionggu automatic welding machines A-610 (dual torch external welding machines). On May 22, one spread achieved 20 joints, and only one day later. On May 24, the first spread achieved a new high in number of welded joints in a single day, reaching 30 joints in a single day.
