Xionggu automatic welding machine helps the construction of Zhundong coal-to-gas pipeline project

On April 21, with sparks flying and arcs flashing, welding officially started for the first section of the Zhundong coal-to-gas pipeline project undertaken by China National Petroleum Corporation (Xinjiang) Engineering Oil Construction Branch, marking the start of a new stage of full implementation of the project.

The project passes through Qitai County and Mulei Kazakh Autonomous County of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a line length of 57.666 kilometers.

As a transmission channel for coal-to-gas in the Zhundong region of Xinjiang, the project incorporates Xinjiang coal-to-gas into the West-East Gas Pipeline System, realizes the transmission of coal-to-gas resources, and increases the source of natural gas resources in the West-East Gas Pipeline System, further improving the construction of a national network, and providing strong support for the resource supply and safety of the downstream market.
