Xionggu pipeline automatic welding machine helps Jiaozhou Bay offshore natural gas pipeline project has entered the full-scale construction stage. The mainline is scheduled to put into operation in October this year! On March 15, the first pipe joint was welded on March 15th, 2022 in Jiaoxi street, Jiaozhou City, marking that the project has entered the full-scale construction stage. Jiaozhou Bay offshore natural gas pipeline, as an important gas source guarantee project for the “coal to gas” work of coal-fired boilers of urban heating in Qingdao city. It has been included in the three-year tasks of urban renewal and urban construction in 2022. The mainline will be put into operation in October 2022.
The Jiaozhou Bay offshore natural gas pipeline project, with a total length of 72 km, including a subsea section of 12 km, is the longest urban subsea gas pipeline in China. It is also the first natural gas pipeline to cross a sea crossing bridge and to be laid by land to sea "directional drilling" process. The project starts from the Zhangying off load station of the national pipe network, passes through Jiaozhou City, Chengyang District, and enters the sea from the nugukou bridge in the West. After coming ashore through the first heat and Taineng heat source, it connects with the “three horizontal and four vertical” secondary high-pressure gas pipeline in the urban area, and extends southward to Huadian Qingdao power plant.
The designed total gas transmission capacity of the project is 3.6 billion cubic meters per year, which can meet the gas demand of large-scale gas-fired power generation projects and “coal to gas” projects in Shanghai Cooperation Demonstration Zone, high tech Zone and urban areas along the way. It is estimated that the annual replacement coal consumption will be 5.36 million tons (converted into standard coal), the carbon emission will be reduced by 5million tons, the sulfur dioxide emission will be reduced by 21600 tons, and the dust emission will be reduced by 4320 tons, which will bring significant economic and social benefits. After the Jiaozhou Bay offshore natural gas pipeline project is completed and put into operation, it will play an important role in optimizing the adjustment of energy structure and building a “clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient” energy system.
