Xionggu--West to East China Natural Gas Pipeline Case

According to Xionggu,Mainline of the 1st West to East China Pipeline starts from Lun Nan Town, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, and ends at Bai He Town, Shanghai. The length is 3839 km, the diameter is 1016 mm, the pressure is 10 MPa, and transportation volume is 17 billion m3/a. The eastern section was completed and put into operation in October 2003, and the western section was completed and put into operation in December 2004.

The 2nd West to East China Pipeline (Abbreviated as the Second West Line) includes 1 mainline, 8 branch lines. Mainline starts from Horgos City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, and ends at Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is 4918 km long, 1219 mm in diameter, 12MPa in pressure and transportation volume is 30 billion m3/a. The branch line is about 3760 km long. Full-line production began at the end of 2012.

The 3rd West to East China Pipeline includes 1 mainline and 8 branch lines. The main line starts Horgos City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region, and ends in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. It is 5220 km in length, 1219 mm in diameter, 12MPa in pressure and 30 billion m3/a in transportation volume. The western section (Horgos-Zhongwei) and the eastern section (Ji'an-Fuzhou) of the pipeline have been completed and put into operation.

Welding processes such as root pass by cellulose stick welding, STT and RMD welding, filling & capping by self-shielding welding have been applied in 1st 2nd 3rd West to East China Pipeline projects. Single torch automatic external welding machine has been applied in some sites. Xionggu MPS-500 self-shielding welding machines and cellulose welding machines have been applied in these projects. In total, there are more than 1000 pcs of Xionggu welding machine which have been applied. Performance and reliability of Xionggu welding machine have been acknowledged by EPC contractors.
